Pengaruh Penggunaan Media Pembelajaran Diorama Tata Surya Terhadap Motivasi Belajar Siswa di Kelas V SD Negeri 92 Kendari
Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of using a solar system diorama as an instructional medium on the learning motivation of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 92 Kendari. This research is a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental design using a non-equivalent control group design. The research subjects consisted of two classes: the experimental class, which received learning using the diorama medium, and the control class, which used conventional media in the form of pictures in the textbook. The data were collected using a learning motivation questionnaire developed based on the ARCS model (Attention, Relevance, Confidence, Satisfaction). The data were analyzed using prerequisite tests (normality and homogeneity), followed by hypothesis testing using the Independent Samples T-Test. The results showed a significant difference in students' learning motivation between the experimental class and the control class. The mean posttest score of the control class was 69.70, while the experimental class achieved a higher mean score of 87.69, with a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05. It can be concluded that the use of a solar system diorama as an instructional medium has a positive and significant influence on increasing students' learning motivation. The diorama helps students understand the material more concretely and engagingly, thus encouraging their active participation in the learning process
