Abstract

This is a descriptive qualitative study aimed at describing teachers' perceptions of the Kurikulum Merdeka, the latest curricullum launched in 2025. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, utilizing primary and secondary data sources. Five teachers from different subjects served as data sources. The results indicate that teachers' perceptions of the Kurikulum Merdeka at SDN 16 Lakudo, Central Buton Regency, are generally positive. Teachers acknowledged that the Kurikulum Merdeka can increase student engagement and foster creativity in learning. However, several barriers to implementation were identified, such as technological developments. Efforts to overcome these barriers include increasing the use of technology and providing adequate facilities. Based on the aforementioned research findings, it can be concluded that the majority of teachers at SDN 16 Lakudo, Central Buton Regency, responded positively to the Kurikulum Merdeka in learning. However, there are still obstacles in the use of technology that can affect the implementation
