PERANAN KEPOLISIAN SATUAN RESERSE KRIMINAL DI DALAM PEMBERANTASAN PEREDARAN UANG PALSU DI WILAYAH POLRES MUNA (Suatu Studi di Reskrim Polres Muna)

Abstract

The research aims (1) to determine the role of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Muna City Police in eradicating the crime of counterfeit money circulation in the jurisdiction of the Muna City Police. (2) to determine the obstacles of the Criminal Investigation Unit in eradicating the crime of counterfeit money circulation in the jurisdiction of the Muna City Police. In this writing, this research was conducted at the Muna City Police and the research center at the Muna Resort Police. Research Results (1). The role of the police, especially the Muna Resort Police in eradicating the crime of counterfeit money circulation in the jurisdiction of the Muna Resort Police has not been optimal in making arrests of people who counterfeit or people who print the counterfeit money themselves and distribute it and the police have played a lesser role in enforcing the law. (2.) The obstacles faced by the police in eradicating the crime of counterfeit money circulation in the jurisdiction of the Muna Resort Police are that on average those who can be revealed are the dealers, while the perpetrators who counterfeit the counterfeit money are rarely revealed because usually their domicile is not in the jurisdiction of the Muna Resort Police. in the form of imperfect legal instruments, less than professional law enforcement, low levels of public legal awareness, and lack of facilities and infrastructure. (3) Efforts made by the Criminal Research Unit of the Muna Police in overcoming obstacles in eradicating the crime of counterfeit money circulation are by cooperating to uncover perpetrators with other Police and asking for opinions from the North Sumatra Regional Police's top units, as well as coordinating with related agencies or institutions.
