Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors causing the occurrence of criminal acts of sexual intercourse against children in Konawe Regency and to determine the efforts that have been made by the authorities in overcoming the occurrence of criminal acts of sexual intercourse against children in Konawe Regency. The study was conducted from November to January 2016 in Konawe Regency. This study is more comprehensive and objective and the data to be collected will be analyzed qualitatively and then described. The results of the study indicate that the factors causing the occurrence of child sexual intercourse crimes in Konawa Regency are: family factors, a free social environment, sexual urges, technological developments or easy access to porn sites, the influence of alcoholic beverages and the opportunities given by the victim to the perpetrator and the efforts to overcome this are carried out by the police, namely preventively (prevention) and repressively (enforcement efforts) such as providing counseling and conducting socialization to high school students regarding the negative impacts of the dangers of free sex, appealing to the public to increase awareness of all possibilities of child sexual intercourse crimes in the family environment or the community environment and conducting patrols at night in places where children and teenagers date and making heavy demands on perpetrators of child sexual intercourse in accordance with the Child Protection Law.
