The study aims to determine how market levies are managed in Kendari City and to determine the economic perspective on the management of market levies in increasing regional original income. Determining the location of the study is very important in order to be accountable for the data obtained. For this reason, the researcher chose a location at PD. Pasar Baruga, Kendari City. Research results (1) Management of market levies at the UPTD Pasar Baruga which is under the auspices of PD. Pasar Kendari City which is not yet optimal because the target for market levy revenue that has been set has not been achieved even though the realization of market levies in Kendari City has increased every year. This is due to various obstacles such as the outbreak of the Covid 19 pandemic and the lack of incentives for data collection of mandatory levies, market revitalization, arrears in payment of levies by traders for various reasons, holidays and weather factors so that the realization of market levy revenue does not reach the target and the management of market levies implemented by PD. Pasar Kendari City according to the economic perspective is in market levy activities in accordance with the wishes of the local government, namely that market levy officers have good morals towards traders as mandatory levies. Market retribution officers are polite when collecting retribution from traders. There are still many market retribution management systems that need to be improved, so that with market retribution management that is in accordance with government expectations, the target for market retribution revenue will be achieved, so that it can increase regional original income from market retribution.
