PENGARUH POLITIK UANG DALAM PEMILIHAN ANGGOTA DEWAN PERWAKILAN RAKYAT DAERAH KABUPATEN KONAWE SELATAN

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of money politics in the election of members of the people's representative council in the South Konawe district. Money politics in the reform era has become a culture in society. This democracy is interpreted as sovereignty from, by and for the people, so the way for the people to organize the government is through elections. With elections, the community is given the authority to directly elect executive and legislative leaders. This study uses an empirical research method, by studying various literature and reading laws and regulations related to the material for writing the thesis. The data collection technique in this study was carried out through field research and literature to obtain data related to the title of the thesis presented. Furthermore, the data was processed and analyzed using a qualitative descriptive method to describe the real situation that occurred. The results of this study conclude that the influence of money politics on community participation does have a significant influence where the majority of people accept money politics and participate in the regional elections, although giving money or goods to voters does not guarantee determining the choice of the community in giving votes to the giver because this is influenced by several factors.
