Abstract

This study aims to: 1) To find out and understand the efforts made by law enforcement agencies in overcoming obstruction of justice in handling criminal acts 2) To find out and understand the factors that inhibit law enforcement agencies in overcoming obstruction of justice in handling criminal acts. This research is an empirical study. The empirical legal approach is intended to obtain clarity and understanding of the problems in the study based on existing realities. Furthermore, the data is processed and analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods by explaining the reality that occurs. The results of this study conclude that law enforcement agencies have a crucial role in overcoming obstruction of justice in handling criminal acts. The application of fair and transparent laws can help reduce the potential for obstruction of justice. When the public believes that the legal system works fairly, they may be less likely to try to obstruct the legal process. Several factors that can inhibit obstruction of justice in handling criminal acts can be caused by various factors that affect the performance of law enforcement agencies.
