PERAN KEPOLISIAN TERHADAP PROFESIONALITAS PENEGAKAN HUKUM DALAM PENANGANAN TINDAK PIDANA NARKOTIKA (Suatu Studi Di Polda Sultra)

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) To find out and understand the methods of arrest and action against drug abuse carried out by law enforcement officers 2) To find out and understand the inhibiting factors in taking action against drug abuse faced by law enforcement. This type of research is empirical research, by reviewing regulations and laws and regulations as well as p related to the material for writing the thesis. The data collection technique in the study was carried out by interviews and observations related to the title of the thesis being raised. Furthermore, the data was processed and analyzed using a qualitative descriptive method by explaining and describing the reality that occurred. The results of this study conclude that professionalism in law enforcement is the key to ensuring that law enforcers can carry out their duties with integrity, justice, and effectiveness, as well as maintaining public trust and support. The role of the police in maintaining the professionalism of law enforcement in handling narcotics crimes is very important. Efforts to overcome these inhibiting factors require a holistic approach, including increasing public awareness, establishing strong relationships between the police and the community, and providing incentives and support for those who participate in drug prevention efforts.
