Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that influence the occurrence of sexual intercourse committed by a father against his stepdaughter in Abeli District, Kendari City and to determine efforts to overcome the crime of sexual intercourse committed by a father against his stepdaughter in Abeli District, Kendari City. This study was conducted at the Abeli Police, Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi with the consideration that the object of the problem discussed is located in the area, with the data analysis used is data analysis that attempts to provide a picture. The results of this study indicate that the factors that influence the occurrence of sexual intercourse committed by a father against his own stepdaughter in the jurisdiction of the Abeli Police, Kendari City are: family factors, a free social environment, sexual urges, technological developments/easy access to porn sites, the influence of liquor or alcoholic beverages and the opportunity given by the victim to the perpetrator, while the efforts to overcome this are preventive efforts (prevention) and repressive (enforcement efforts) such as providing counseling and conducting socialization to junior high and high school students regarding the negative impacts of the dangers of free sex, appealing to the public to increase awareness of all possibilities of sexual intercourse crimes against children in the family environment or community environment, and conducting patrols at night on the yellow bridge or Kendari City park which is a place for children and adolescents to date so as to minimize immoral acts and sexual intercourse crimes, and making heavy demands on perpetrators of sexual intercourse in accordance with the Child Protection Act.
