Abstract
This study aims: 1) To find out and understand the form of settlement of bad debts at Bank Sultra Kendari. 2) To find out and understand the factors causing bad debts at Bank Sultra Kendari. The location of this research was conducted at the Bank Sultra Kendari Office, on the grounds that the Office can obtain more accurate data in accordance with the objectives of the study. All data obtained from the study, both literature research and field research, will be analyzed using the method; Qualitative Analysis, which is an analysis method carried out by selecting materials obtained from the literature and the field that are adjusted to the problem being studied (only data related to the problem will be taken as research data). Furthermore, Descriptive Analysis, which is the result of the analysis which is a collection of data found and described in detail and then connected to the problem being studied. The results of this study indicate that: 1) efforts to resolve bad debts at Bank Sultra Kendari, the bank makes credit rescue efforts in the form of; (a) Rescheduling, which is an effort to make changes to the terms of the credit agreement relating to the credit repayment schedule or credit term, including the grace period or grace period, including changes to the amount of installments or not, (b) Reconditioning, which is an effort to make changes to some or all of the terms of the credit agreement which are not limited to changes to the installment schedule and/or credit term only. However, these changes are without providing additional credit or without converting all or part of the credit into company equity. (c) Restructuring, which is an effort to make changes to the terms of the credit agreement in the form of providing additional credit, or converting all or part of the credit into company equity, which is done with or without Rescheduling. 2) The factors that cause bad credit problems at Bank Sultra Kendari are internal and external factors. Internal factors are those caused by the Bank itself, such as errors when conducting analysis. External factors are caused by the creditor, either
