Abstract

The Research Aims (1) To Find Out the Factors Causing the Crime of Extortion that Occurred in Kendari City (2) To Find Out the Efforts Made in Overcoming the Crime of Extortion in Kendari City. Research The researcher conducted or implemented the research process at the Kendari Police where the problems raised by the researcher were directly related. Which originate from the Individual or the perpetrator such as: Habit or Professional Factors, Bad Habits or Behavior Factors and Individual Education. Factors originating from outside the Individual have a close relationship with the causes or occurrence of the Crime of Extortion as follows: Economic Factors are a basic human need that is most primary in supporting life in his life so that it can also be said that economic factors are the order, measure of a person's standard of living in terms of material and Environmental Influence Factors. In connection with the above, the author will present the factors causing the occurrence of crime, namely: Emotional and Economic Power.
