KEJAHATAN DUNIA MAYA (CYBER CRIME) PENIPUAN JUAL BELI ONLINE (Suatu Studi Di Kota Kendari)

Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that influence the rise of cyber crime, which is specifically focused on online fraud, the effectiveness of law enforcement in efforts to combat cyber crime, and the obstacles faced by the police in efforts to combat it. This study was conducted from March to June 2018 in Kendari City, data collected through literature studies by collecting data from various existing literature, in the form of books, articles obtained from internet searches, including laws and regulations. This study uses descriptive data analysis by describing how a crime of fraud that occurs in online buying and selling transactions is then adjusted to laws and regulations and then ends by drawing conclusions based on existing qualitative data. The results obtained by the author from this study, namely (1) The difficulty in eliminating or reducing the growth rate of cyber crime due to several factors, namely: economic factors, environmental factors, socio-cultural factors, and intellectual factors. (2) Law enforcement in efforts to combat cyber crime has not been effective due to several factors, including the rapid growth rate of cyber crime and efforts to combat it that are still less than optimal considering the large number of cyber crime cases handled by the police. (3) The obstacles faced by the police in efforts to combat cyber crime can be divided into 4 (four) aspects, namely: aspects of investigators, evidence, facilities and jurisdiction.
