FAKTOR PENYEBAB PENYALAHGUNAAN PSIKOTROPIKA DI KABUPATEN KONAWE
Abstract
The objectives of the study were: 1). To determine the factors that cause drug abuse. 2). To determine the efforts made by the Konawe Police in overcoming drug abuse. This study was conducted in Konawe Regency, precisely at the Konawe Police, using the type of research, namely empirical normative. The data collection methods used were document studies, field surveys and interviews using qualitative descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen: 1). The factors that cause drug abuse based on cases that have been handled by the Konawe Police are: curiosity factors or motives for wanting to know, social factors or peer factors, and frustration factors due to economic pressure or socio-economic status factors. 2). The efforts made by the Konawe Police to overcome drug abuse are through the following methods: a). Through prevention efforts (pre-emptive efforts and preventive efforts) through activities including holding counseling and coaching carried out by the Narcotics Unit in collaboration with the Binamitra Section of the Konawe Police, in the form of providing brochures, installing banners, conducting surveillance in places considered prone to drug abuse. b). Through efforts to combat drug abuse, namely: repressive efforts related to firm police action in dealing with violations or crimes, Treatment and rehabilitation efforts are efforts to combat drug abuse carried out by the Department of Social Affairs, Department of Health and other private agencies and in collaboration with the police.
