TINJAUAN KRIMINOLOGIS TERHADAP PELANGGARAN LALU LINTAS KENDARAAN RODA DUA YANG DILAKUKAN OLEH PELAJAR DI KOTA KENDARI (Suatu Studi di Wilayah Hukum Polresta Kendari)

Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors causing students to commit traffic violations by riding a motorcycle in Kendari City and to determine the efforts of the Kendari Police in overcoming traffic violations by riding a motorcycle or two-wheeled vehicle by students in Kendari City. This study was conducted from September to November, 2016 at the Kendari Police. This study is more comprehensive and objective, the data collected will be analyzed qualitatively and then described. From the results of the study showed that: That the factors that cause two-wheeled vehicle traffic violations committed by students in the jurisdiction of the Kendari Police are: lack of awareness, indiscipline, high public interest in owning motor vehicles, road facilities and infrastructure, lack of deterrence, negligence/forgetfulness, lack of understanding/ignorance, and negligence, while the efforts made by the Kendari Police Traffic Unit in overcoming traffic violations committed by students in the jurisdiction of the Kendari Police are pre-emptive efforts, preventive efforts (prevention) namely counseling about traffic, installing banners, pamphlets and distributing brochures. While repressive efforts (action) are by taking reprimands and taking process actions.
