PERANAN SATUAN LALULINTAS POLDA SULTRA DALAM MENINGKATKAN DISIPLIN BERLALULINTAS (Suatu Studi di Direktorat Lantas Polda Sultra)

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that are obstacles for the Police in handling traffic discipline. In the jurisdiction of the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police, especially traffic discipline in Kendari City and to find out what efforts have been made by the Police to involve the community in traffic discipline. The research was carried out in the Author in conducting research on the Role of the Police in Improving Traffic Discipline in the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police Jurisdiction. Choosing this location is quite appropriate by considering substantive theory, namely going to explore the field to see if there is a match between theory and reality in the field. Given the limitations of time and energy, the author only limits the research to activities related to the title raised by the author of the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police Traffic in the last five years. The time this research was carried out was in October 2024 and the accumulated time of the research was determined after estimating the time that would be needed to take care of all administrative processes and carry out the research. Research Results 1. The factors that are obstacles in the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police are the lack of personnel at the field level and the less educated community, so that explaining the various regulations that will be implemented is very difficult. 2. Steps that can be taken to discipline the community in the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police are the role of the Police as the authorized party must go directly to the field and the streets to provide counseling and socialization to the community so that they know that discipline in traffic is very important to ensure the safety of life while driving.
