Abstract

Research objectives (1). To find out the causes of the occurrence of criminal acts of theft in Moreme Village, Konda District, South Konawe Regency (2). To find out the sanctions applied to criminal acts of theft in Morome Village, Konda District, South Konawe Regency. The research was carried out In carrying out the research process, the author will conduct or focus the research in the Konda Police jurisdiction, South Konawe Regency. Research Results 1. The role of public relations in improving the image of the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police, namely: 1) Building the identity of the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police by actively participating in social campaigns in providing understanding to the community, becoming a facilitator between institutions and the community, building good relations with various non-governmental organizations. 2) Facing and responding to public complaints by providing a conducive atmosphere to the community, providing initial handling of complaints to be submitted so that they can overcome public perceptions of the negative image of the police and provide problem solving 3) Promoting community aspects through cooperation and building good relations with the media. 2. Supporting and inhibiting factors of the role of public relations in improving the image of the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police, namely: 1) Supporting factors, consisting of: a) internal factors, namely facilities and infrastructure. b) External factors, namely the involvement of the mass media directly or indirectly and the participation of all components of society. 2) Inhibiting factors consist of: limited public relations personnel, budget, conditions and facilities that are still minimal owned by the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police Public Relations.
