Abstract

This study aims to determine the Causal Factors of Drug Abuse Crimes committed by Children in Kolaka Regency and to determine Law Enforcement Efforts Against Drug Abuse Crimes committed by Children in Kolaka Regency. This study was conducted in Kolaka Regency, namely at the Kolaka Police Resort with the consideration that there are cases of drug abuse crimes committed by children, so that the data needed for analysis materials are adequately available, using qualitative methods with interactive analysis models. The purpose is to use a research method that produces descriptive analysis data, namely what is stated by respondents in writing or their real behavior which is studied and studied in its entirety. This analysis aims not only to reveal the truth but also to understand the truth. The results of this study indicate that the Causal Factors of Drug Abuse Crimes committed by Children in Kolaka Regency are Family factors; Parents who educate their children too harshly will make the child afraid and even become rebellious towards their own parents and vice versa, Social/environmental factors, factors of wanting to try, Economic factors, Factors, Law Enforcement, while Law enforcement efforts by the Kolaka Police against Criminal Acts of Narcotics Abuse committed by Children in Kolaka Regency are: Law enforcement efforts against Criminal Acts of Narcotics committed by Children in Kolaka Regency, namely Preventive efforts made to suppress so that narcotics abuse does not become more rampant, by conducting socialization/counseling regarding the ins and outs of narcotics, conducting anti-drug campaigns, Conducting routine anti-narcotics operations while Repressive Efforts (enforcement), namely by taking firm action against children caught red-handed abusing narcotics.
