Abstract
This study aims to: 1) To determine the police's efforts in overcoming violent theft committed by children 2) To determine the obstacles faced by the police in overcoming violent theft committed by children. This study is an empirical study, by studying books and laws and regulations related to the material for writing the thesis. Data collection techniques in the study were carried out by interviews and literature studies to obtain data related to the title of the thesis being raised. Furthermore, the data was processed and analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods by searching for and finding patterns and describing the reality that occurred. The results of this study concluded that police efforts in overcoming violent theft committed by children include early identification and intervention for children at risk of committing crimes. This involves a holistic approach, including social support, education, counseling, and skills training. The obstacles faced by the police in overcoming violent theft committed by children are the stigma of society towards crimes committed by children which is a challenge in handling criminal cases involving minors. The assumption that children have limitations in their ability to understand the consequences of their actions, as well as manage emotions and impulsivity needs to be understood so as not to judge children as perpetrators of crimes who are fully responsible for the actions they commit, on the other hand, they also do not consider the crimes committed to be understandable and justified because of the immaturity of a child's thinking in addition to age factors and a lack of understanding of the law.
