Abstract

This study aims to: 1) To find out and understand the efforts made by the Class II A Kendari Penitentiary in implementing the application of a correctional system aimed at recovery for inmates 2) To find out and understand the inhibiting factors in the implementation of a correctional system aimed at recovery for inmates. This study was conducted using an empirical method, empirical research is a method of observation carried out by human senses, so that the research method used can also be known and observed by others. The results of this study conclude that the Class II A Kendari Penitentiary Against the Implementation of a Correctional System Aimed at Recovery for Inmates Correctional institutions have a very important role in the development of WBP (Correctional Inmates) or prisoners, recovery for inmates or prisoners in correctional institutions includes helping inmates improve themselves and prepare to return to society. The inhibiting factor in the implementation of the correctional system is the lack of collaborative efforts from various parties, including the government, community, correctional institutions, and non-profit organizations, to create an environment that supports the recovery and reintegration of inmates so that Uncertainty Frequent changes in policies and laws can create challenges in the planning and implementation of correctional programs as well as from the existing facilities and infrastructure intended for inmates.
