Abstract

The research conducted was field research, namely researchers went directly to the research location to collect data by conducting interviews with authorities and the community, in addition, this study also used a library research method, namely reviewing various reading materials / books related to the title of the research in question. The results of the study conducted by the author found the fact that influencers play a role in promoting fraudulent trading applications, namely Influencers acting as Affiliates. Influencers use online media as a means for perpetrators to find targets to be interested in investing as a term known today. With the lure of fantastic results with minimal capital, the victims have been promised that they will make a profit. The criminal liability of influencers for investment fraud in the crime of investment trading fraud only includes imprisonment and fines. While the aspect of compensation for victims of fraud is only related to the civil scope, not criminal. Regarding the protection of victims of this investment trading fraud crime, in its implementation there are often obstacles in the process of taking action against investment trading fraud crimes.
