Abstract

This study aims to: 1) To find out and understand the methods of arrest and prosecution of drug abuse carried out by law enforcement officers 2) To find out and understand the inhibiting factors in taking action against drug abuse faced by law enforcement officers. This study is an empirical study, with literacy and laws and regulations related to the thesis writing material. Data collection techniques in the study were carried out through interviews and observations related to the title of the thesis being raised. Furthermore, the data was processed and analyzed using a qualitative descriptive method by explaining and describing the reality that occurred. The results of this study conclude that arrests and prosecutions of drug abuse involve various steps and processes carried out by law enforcement officers, such as the police and the national narcotics agency through investigations, arrests and examinations. Obstacles faced by the police Law enforcement is often faced with various complex and multidimensional obstacles Handling these obstacles requires a comprehensive approach, including increasing resources, strengthening the integrity and transparency of law enforcement agencies, building technical capacity, cross-sector cooperation, community support, and policy reforms that support the effectiveness of law enforcement.
