TINJAUAN YURIDIS UPAYA PENANGANAN PREVENTIF TERHADAP PELANGGARAN LALU LINTAS DI KOTA KENDARI (Suatu Studi Di Polresta Kendari)

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) To find out and understand the efforts made by the police in carrying out preventive handling of traffic violations in the city of Kendari 2) To find out and understand the factors that inhibit the police in carrying out preventive handling of traffic violations in the city of Kendari. This study is an empirical study, by reviewing legislation related to the material for writing thesis and related literacy. Data collection techniques in the study were carried out by interviews and observations related to the title of the thesis being raised. Furthermore, the data was processed and analyzed using a qualitative descriptive method by explaining and describing the reality that occurred. The results of this study conclude that police efforts in handling traffic violations in the city of Kendari preventively can involve various strategies and actions. By combining these strategies, it is hoped that the police can be more effective in preventing traffic violations in the city of Kendari and improving safety for all road users. The factors that inhibit the police in handling traffic violations preventively in the city of Kendari are the lack of resources and the lack of public awareness.
